OK, I'm new at this so bear with me....
I just purchased a Navman Pin100 which came with the SmartSV v2.0 software. It works, but....
The Navman ST software has a unique user interface. I'd like to be able to do POI based on where I am. I have not been able to get at that easily as the POI data is limited on screen.
Also, the Navman Pin100 may be great for a car, but walking around with it, I've discovered I need something a bit more durable, something I can just put in a backpack with a, perhaps Bluetooth GPS on my other PPC (Dell Axim x50) and then use a wireless BT headset for the turn-by-turn in my ear.
1. Can I load this software on another PPC and use a BT receiver? (Whic one might be a good choice?)
2. If not, anyone have any alternatives? I've seen both Garmin's and Copilots offers. Garmin claims I can use the same software on a laptop and PPC, but there's the old rule about you get whta you pay for.

Your SmartST software has already been registered to your PiN so you wouldn't be able to register it to your Dell as well.
I've never used Co-Pilot but I have got a Garmin GPS 10 (BT receiver) and CitySelect V7 and it works a treat on my iPAQ. You do indeed get nRoute software for Laptop use but since I can't establish a reliable BT connection between my Laptop and anything then I haven't tried it out.
I really like the Garmin maps; they use NAVTEQ data which in my opinion is more accurate than TeleAtlas. The Que application, which is what runs on my iPAQ, doesn't have 3D mapping and until WiRED gets his overlay into a state he's happy with, (see topic here), then I don't know how to get the camera database to work with it. I paid £190 for the GPS10 and software from GPSW and, considering the software alone is about £150 I think that's a good price.
Not sure about the BT headset bit either; things like Audio Gateway Profile have been mentioned and I'm not sure if I need to enable that somehow on my iPAQ. I've tried pairing the iPAQ with my Motorola HS-810 headset with no luck. Does your Dell support multiple concurrent BT connections? _________________ Tim
