I dont know if this will help you, but I've just done a quick search on the web for that PDA and its based on the same operating system as mine (Windows Mobile 2003 SE - Dell X30) and I've used 2 programs for navigation and locating places, mapopolis and pocketstreets / Autoroute 2005. Both of these are great programs, pocket streets is powerful but slow on the Dell pda that I use. But Mapopolis is great for navigating around town and great for postcode searches.

tomtom nav 3 cant do full postcodes but the last version v5 will do full postcodes but isnt released yet if your going to get a rz1710 package then your going for the hp navigation pack the maps for this are more uptodate than tt3 and the upgrade deal to v5 should very competetive going off pervious experience

if you want full postcodes now and cant wait then your looking at the aa navigator software but it doesnt run as smoothly as tomtom from what ive heard so id hangon for the tomtom version 5
