Could anyone help ? - Just had my wired tomtom gps receiver stolen and thinking of replacing it with a bluetooth tomtom gps system (because I don't have to leave any of that in the car again !!)
But, if I set up a bluetooth partnership between hp2210 and the tomtom bluetooth gps receiver am I correct in thinking that I won't then be able to have traffic dial via my mobile (using bluetooth) to get traffic updates- ie, can't my hp2210 handle just the one bluetooth connection, which would have to be either the bt gps receiver or the bt connection through to my mobile for traffic ?
Many thanks,

Your 2210 can handle more than 1 BT connection. I'm running TTN3 with the Traffic plugin on a 2210 with a bluetooth receiver and a bluetooth mobile phone. The combination is working fine. The only problem I have is that I sometimes have cause to question the reliability and quality of the traffic data. Also, my phone only supports a single bluetooth connection, which means I can't use the hands-free kit _________________ Geraint

I used an Ipaq 2110, Blue tooth GPS gizmo and Orange C500 SPV to down load trafic info this morning and it worked fine.
However I haven't been able to connect to GPRS since This isn't a Tom Tom issue though. |

Thanks very much chaps - I'll give that a try - somehow I'd convinced myself that the 2210 could only handle the one BT connection.
I do share your opinion on some of the traffic data though !
I suffer from my mobile only been able to handle one BT connection too - I just end up accepting having to use a wired handsfree when I'n using TTN3. (I've seen postings that some Nokia mobiles can handle multiple BT connections - otherwise I guess an SPV type mobile would be a good choice).
Thanks again. |

Have my GPRS fixed (rebooted phone - typical windows) and the combination works fine. |

The 2210 and most other PDA's can only support single BT connections of the same profile type, but a BT GPS connection uses the Serial Port Profile whereas a GPRS connection uses a BT Dial-Up Profile hence there is no problem. _________________ Darren Griffin |
