Is anyone having trouble with their remote for their NavmaniCN 510? Mine just doesn't seem to be able to operate the GPS unit immediately like your average telly remote. It doesn't matter how I hold it or where I hold it, sometimes it works and other times I can keep pressing the buttons or just keep the button pressed and nothing happens. The same buttons on the unit work fine. I've checked the battery and the voltage is good.
Have I got a duff sensor on the unit I wonder?

I have noticed the same thing. Basically, I have to press each button twice to get once response. Holding it at different angles or in different positions doesn't seem to make any difference. I would love to know if anyone has figured a way for a better response.

That being said, I still think the remote is useful and makes certain features (changing the view) much easier to access while driving.

Just taken my 510 back up to my local Halfords for a replacement because the speaker packed in and the remote was crap. They only replaced the GPS unit itself. Now the same remote operates the new GPS unit quite well. Good job the speaker went on the blink.

Word of warning here;

I think the speaker packed up because I bought a 3.5mm headphone jack from Maplins in order to use it for wiring up the unit to my bike's intercom system. It didn't feel right when I plugged it in and sure enough it wasn't. Now all 3.5mm jacks should be a standard size and shape be it mono or stereo. I've tried other headphone jacks from my MP3 Player and MSI Mega Stick and they all slot in and out fine. So be carefully out there if you are contemplating doing your own wiring mods.
