Since neither has been released this comparison is not be exactly valid. and it remains to be seen how well they work in real life. All you can compare at the moment is the specs. |

Until either model is released it is impossible to give any answers. We know much of what will be present on the GO range as we have already reviewed the V5 software but the Garmin is very much an unknown with both the hardware and software being new. _________________ Darren Griffin |

After reading your report on the new 700 I called Garmin UK and asked them about the new C330 units with regard to the ability to define your own POI;s as you can in TTG and full postcodes.
I was told in no uncertain terms that the POI,s in the system cannot be altered or additional POI,s added. You would have to enter individual waypoints for each location!!!!. Full postcodes were not on the agenda. I said "is this because we are a small dot across the pond and not really important as Garmin has so many systems in a vast range of applications"?, he did not answer this directly but grunted something that sounded like agreement with my question. I have streetpilot 3 and will be changing to the 700 when it comes out. I have also tried the TTG for a month and was delighted except for its performance at roundabouts, which I am sure will improve. |
