Hi Nomada,
It is possible to convert from an OS grid reference to a long/lat coordinate using a mathamatical algorythm. |

Yes it is, and you don't need to go away looking for it. OS provides you the tool in their web site.

If TomTom are going to use these over TeleAtlas whilst TeleAtlas continues to survey these areas, then I can't see any reason why they couldn't use these on the PDA. The only issue may be down to licensing costs or TomTom's own decision on whether to include/exclude them. |

As a newby I bought this last month and now I am offered an upgrade by TomTom.
Was I sold a pup by Dixons?
Also can one buy any UK maps that show footpaths to run on the Palm using my Tomtom unit?

I should have made it clear that I am in the UK - so it is UK footpath mapping I'd like to uswe with my TomTom/Palm GPS. Is this possible?
Also was I had by being sold the kit with 2004 maps last month when the new ones seem already to have been available?
