the people on this thread seem to know what they are talking about, could you help with this one? i have an ipaq 1940 i have the software for medion navigator 4.2 but it will not give me a com 5 port as an option as i am using a blue tooth reciever. i know the reciever works fine as it works well with tom tom gps software which does give me the com 5 port option. can i get a patch from somewhere that will give me the port through medion or a programme that medion can use to bluetooth up with the gps reciever.
thanks for you jelp

have a read in the article that describes the BlueTooth conflicts that TomTom is causing - maybe that's your problem too. _________________ Lutz

Maybe it's not COM5 now. What does the bluetooth settings screen say? _________________ Lutz

Could someone please explain how you "make" a CAB file from the original .exe file.
i.e the 3.07 update. How did you make this into a CAB file?
Thanks |

We didn't make the CAB files, we merely extracted them from the setup package.
If you want to make your own CABs you need to create an INI file with a particular structure and then run that through the CabWiz program that is part of the Embedded Visual Tools. _________________ Lutz

So if I wanted to, how would I go about extracting the relevant files from my TomTom 3 CD into a cab file?
For instance, my CD will have 3.01 on it as standard. How would I go about making a CAB file for this?
Thanks |

Hi,
I am trying to download the CAB files, but it says that the server could not be found. Should it still be accessible? I have moved to a mac, so the CD (being for a PC) no longer works. Also, will the CAB file still allow me to pick a voice?
Thanks,

Just a note to say taaa :D
Ive got an XDA IIs that I loaded TT N3 onto and then updated from the TT web site to 3.07. However Ive had a shed load of problems with it crashing.
Today I read the instructions from the list here and checked the version of Nav that I was running, it was only 3.03! So the cab file was downloaded and placed onto a spare SD card. This then installed the 3.07 version onto the xda and it work fine, no crashes, no glitches, just works :D :D
Thanks to all techy posters 8)
