Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I purchased Desinator for use on my O2 XDA last Xmas. I worked perfectly from the off, infact I was most impressed with it. A couple of weeks ago whilst on the O2 website I noticed a ROM upgrade available for the XDA, which I downloaded and installed, again all appeared to to go OK. I had to reinstall Destinator, along with everything else I use. But since this Destinator has been very unreliable. It loads and starts ok but then freezes, or gives the impression it has lost the satelites. I check all the cables, the gps status screen and get either "no satelites available" or "port in use", then everything locks up and I have to do a reset. Any ideas please as I am an IQ zero when it comes to the technicalities. One thing I wondered is if the memory of the XDA (32Megs) is too low, but is has worked ok in the past.
Many thanks

The minimum requirement for Destinator is
· Pocket PC device
· Compact Flash jacket for your PDA, if needed
· RAM of 64M or compact Flash memory card 96MB or greater
Try to re-set the PDA by pressing the reset button and see if it works or not

Can you downgrade the ROM ? Many iPAQ users have found the ROM upgrades can seriously interfere with Navigation software, it sounds to me that the ROM could be causing the problem. If you can downgrade the ROM and it works okay, then I'd contact Destinator Support and ask them to look into it. |

Make sure that infra-red is not enabled. This grabs COM1 if it is.
