Hello Folks, I would just like to apologies to forum members for my last post, I had no intention of starting such a heated topic.
I have now purchased another GPS aid to complement my TTG, it's a Snooper S4 speed camera detector, one good point of this little unit is it can warn you if you are going over a certain speed limit set by the user ie: 70mph, it will tell you you are exceeding the speed limit. This unit is controled by satellite. I was just wondering if it would be possible to incorporate this feature into TTG's in the future.
Regards
Graham
By the way I can just imagine Jo, driving with his partner using one of those plastic steering wheels sat in the passanger seat, he must be a blast to have on any trip. |

Johnboy, have a look at this, same article. The Road Safety Bill, which is going through the Commons, includes a provision to outlaw radar and laser-based camera alerts, although equipment using global positioning technology will still be allowed. |

Yes I realise that the Snooper S4 uses GPS to pinpoint cams etc it also has a build in active laser and radar detector which would make it illegal if this bill when through _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

I think you are refering to the Snooper S4 R, which has the radar and laser built onto another unit which can be purchased for the S4 as well.
Cheers

Don’t need to, took enough of them and had more then enough experience, that’s why you will see me pass first time unlike a lot of you who failed and need to retake it.
Please lets leave it here, I would of not even wrote in here if my name did not come up in the first post. |

That is a good idea. Please can we all leave it there? Whilst the discussion on the Snooper is valid, calling people's abilities into question in this manner is not. I sincerely hope that this is the last post in this thread. _________________ Tim |

Hi Jo, just out of interest how old are you? and when have you got your test. I will be the first to congratulate you "if" you pass first time.
Just to let you know I passed my test "first Time" on my seventeenth birthday, my licence arrived at about 9am in the post and my test was 10.30am, that was almost 33 years ago.
Let's hope you can do the same.
Regards
Graham |

From the Snooper website:
"Laser Detection as Standard!
The Snooper S4 comes complete with a built-in 360 degree laser detector. This laser detector has been designed to detect all types of mobile laser speed monitoring systems often used in danger spots where 'Fixed' systems cannot be easily utilised."
Thats the built in bit that will get the whole unit banned. Believe me I had one!! _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |
