If TomTom are going to use these over TeleAtlas whilst TeleAtlas continues to survey these areas, then I can't see any reason why they couldn't use these on the PDA. The only issue may be down to licensing costs or TomTom's own decision on whether to include/exclude them.

As a newby I bought this last month and now I am offered an upgrade by TomTom.

Was I sold a pup by Dixons?

Also can one buy any UK maps that show footpaths to run on the Palm using my Tomtom unit?

Yes, from http://www.fugawi.com/index.html amongst others, but this is probably the best. Not cheap though.

I should have made it clear that I am in the UK - so it is UK footpath mapping I'd like to uswe with my TomTom/Palm GPS. Is this possible?

Also was I had by being sold the kit with 2004 maps last month when the new ones seem already to have been available?
