Hi
Has anyone experience problem with Rikaline Bluetooth 6031-X7 GPS receiver not charging when it has not been used for longer than 7 days.
I can no longer recharger the battery or pick up a signal even using external power.
I am on my 3rd battery and it seems to happen each time. The idea of having to always charging is crazy.
Any support would be most welcome. |

hi there...
try removing the battery and putting it back again..
when the rikaline battery is totally flat. it will seem that sometimes it just wont charge. Nevertheless, charge it for a while, then try to use it while it is charging, then eventually you should get the battery 'red' light to light up. Then it is charging.
another alternative is use a Nokia BLB-2 (3.6v) battery.
however you should get used to charging it at least once in 5 days to avoid it from getting totally flat even it is not used.
OR pull out the battery when not in used so the charge would not deplete. But you will have to wait a bit longer when starting to use it again.
hope this helps..its just some of my personal experience |

|
|
Hello,
I had the same problem, I didn't use the X7 for about 2-3 months as I now have SatNav in my new car and I am lending my H5550, X7 and TT to a friend. Anyway, i emailed Rikaline and got a response in a few hours, which said to go to Argos and buy a new battery (Nokia 3310 fits).
The solution is to charge your dead battery in a Nokia 3310 phone ffrom the mains and as soon as you get the bars saying it is charging you can use the in-car charger. I think the in-car charger just doesn't have enough power to charge from dead flat
Saved me a tenner and hassle of collecting.
Hope this helps

I seem to be having this problem at the moment. The ext light comes on, but i can't get any response out the reciever at all. Wondering if it is this battery is too flat fault or another h/ware fault. |

I bought a Rikaline 6033 yesterday; battery came with some charge. Plugged it in & charged for ~12 hrs. Didn't notice charging light. Battery died after using it for maybe 1 - 1.5 hrs. Tried charging it agan - its been 3 hrs, but no indication that unit is charging at all - it appears totally flat.
Charging led flashes once when power first switched on, but dies after that. Did I get a dud? |
