Any word on when Navigator 5 for the Palm will be available in the US? I've got v4.4 on my Palm T3 now, and am hoping for a free upgrade. |

All upgrades will be available between April and May. All customers that are registered on TomTom's website for email updates will receive an email on how to upgrade in good time. |

I have only one important question:
Will those who buy TomTom 3 or Maps from now (after this pressrelease) get uppgrade for free?
There is a lot of people who want buy TT now, but they wont buy before this is cleared out. _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |

Unsure. I suspect TomTom will draw a date in the sand and say from this point onwards people will get free upgrades if they purchase TTN3, but they haven't announced this yet. |

I bought the Navigation Pack in January. I asked TomTom last month aboutthe upgrade route to v5 and they said that no upgrade would be forthcoming. They said the Navigation pack "is a stand alone product and is not upgradable". I asked them what the box meant when it said the navigation pack was "a smart choice" and "a flexible in car navigation system" if it was so dumb and inflexible that it can't be upgraded? They did not reply.
I also asked why the fact that the navigation pack utilises software lacking features in v3 is not made clear on the box. They told me that "it lacks no features that are in v3 and is not a lesser product".
I am less than impressed with TomTom support right now!
BTW I notice the TomTom website is curently unavailable for some reason. |
