I have spoken with Lutz and he says nothing was on demo or mentioned about the UIQ platform when they met with TomTom. |

Well this link (although in dutch) appears to have pictures from Cebit showing TT running on UIQ
http://www.symbianworld.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=189&Itemid=2
However on the basis that they showed the UIQ version at CeBit 2004, I wouldn't hold my breath on this version ever seeing the light of day either. |

There was indeed a P910 on the stand running TTM5. We will seek a statement from TomTom on their plans for the UIQ version because as has been mentioned, the P900 was shown running TTM last year and this never materialised. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Can somone confirm if TTM5 will work with the new Nokia 6680 due to be released ? I believe this has a different version of Symbian O/S to my current 6600. |

Be interesting to know this as I suspect the UIQ version will never see they light of day - afterall there has been no official annoucement and you woud have thought that now would be the time if any to announce it with Route 66 for UIQ only around a week away from being available. |

Hi,
I have TomTom Navigator for my PDA,
I am looking to get TomTom on my Nokia 9500,
I have seen so may confliting reports that the current version works on my phone, even TomTom's website says it's compatable and that it's not compatable,
As I all ready have the TomTom bluetooth receiver, can I just get the MMC card, also I would be looking to transfer TomTom onto a 512mb MMC, is it possible?
Another thing, The maps are so out of date on my PDA (even though I purchased TomTom last June), Are the maps up to date on TomTom Mobile 5?
I have found TomTom an excelent navigation program and very rarely get's it wrong, mistakes are mostly due to error's in the map's.

At the moment, Mobile 5 is not available. The current version of TomTom Mobile is only available in a bundle with a TomTom Bluetooth GPS, unfortunately. Maybe this will change with TomTom Mobile 5, though information on the packages to be offered and prices is not available at this stage.
The maps in TomTom Navigator 3 are older than the maps used in all current TomTom products - they're now around 15 months old (December 2003 data).

is there a way to skip using the GPS part of TT?
I have got it installed on my phone but sometimes on my pda I like to plan a journey by created a start and end of the journey and seeing where it will take me. Then I see whats around and make a few stops at towns/places along the way.
without having the gps enabled on the mobile it won't plan a route. Just wondered if i'm doing something wrong. |

To plan a route without connecting to GPS simply select 6 (next) from main memu then 1 (plan from A to B) |

hi
i am thinking of purchasing a nokia 6630 and tomtom mobile 5. does the 6630 allow two bluetooth devices to be connected at once. ie, so i can use a headset while the gps antenna is also connected.
cheers |
