If the location is right, then ignore the house number shown. TomTom Navigator, like all products, doesn't have each house number stored. It has some stored, and interpolates for the rest.
For example, in the cul de sac where I live, it says my house is in the middle of the road, because all it knows is the house numbers at each end of the road. In fact, my house is at the end of the road.

That indicates that the map data has your road categorised wrongly. Later maps may sort this out (the maps in Navigator 3 are based on map data that's some 15 months old), but there's nothing you can do to fix it yourself.
If you really want, report it as a map error, but it's arguably only a cosmetic one.

For TomTom Navigator 3, the easiest way to change your "Home" favourite is probably to go into the Map view, find the correct location, tap and hold, "Add to Favourites".
The Home location in Navigator 3 is the first favourite.
