This appeared a few weeks ago (but was in the Sunday Times this week), the only problem is that most of the voices are really really crap. And they cost £10 each, which is too much.
If they were about £3 I might buy one, but not at a tenner. |

Joanna is good with the odd "darling" thrown in. Other than that she just sounds like a very posh Jane. _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

Heh, spotted this on the TimesOnline website yesterday. I REALLY wanted a K.I.T.T voice, but their ripoff, "Talking Trans-Am", totally sucks (but not nearly as hard as their Sharon Osbourne!). The C3PO ripoff (nav droid) is pretty good though, so I went for that! |

Can anyone help.
Have just noticed that the data.chk on two of the celeb voices are the same. It it posible just to rename the chk file with a differant number ie 22 instead of 23. |

Have had a very polite email from Voice Skins asking me not to share their product - they are a small emerging company trying to make a living so guys I'm in the wrong here and won't pass anything further on. All I can say is that the product is good fun and worth buying! _________________ Life's a bitch... then I met Jane... |

They must be reading the forum. In that case:
"MAKE THEM CHEAPER!!! £5 IS FAIR!"

A polite reminder:
Pocket GPS World does not condone or support use of any software or data other than in accordance with copyright law and any relevant licence agreements.
Please do not post asking people to "share" or "exchange" copyright data. Not liking the price is no excuse.
As people appear to have found, many of the companies do read our forums - they're there for public perusal without registration, as well as fairly widely indexed on Google and similar.
As someone who has been involved in some voice work, I have some idea of the costs of making decent recordings, paying the voice over artist and similar. Such products are not necessarily that cheap to produce.
