Can Not view Satellites

I Have a Navaman SE Sleeve with SmartSt V3 & OziExplorerCE 1.11.4 (Not running at the same time) & Ipaq 5450. PPC 2003

The problem I have is that the GPS works fine, however when I select view satellites all I get is a message saying "waiting for GSV sentence"

I have tried using Navmans GPS Info utility and after the GPS has a fix and I select view Satellites, I still can't see any.

Any advice on this quirk would be really appreciated.

Your receiver may simply be programmed NOT to send GSv sequences. It's not required for navigation (for that you need RMC or similiar) but you can use Crux_View or any other GPS Utility to re-enable the GSV sequence.

Thanks for your very quick reply to my question.

I downloaded Crux_view and the settings seemed to be correct with the GSV settings set to every 5 sec. Then I accidently discovered that when I installed Service Pack 1 for SmartSt Ver 3, it must have placed a ROM upgrade for my sleeve (ver 2.3.7) in my programs file. Once I ran the rom upgrade it fixed 2 things,
1. The time it takes to get a GPS fix is greatly improved.
2. I can now see all the satellites.
