Hello everyone,
My XDA2 recently crashed after I loaded too much on the SD Card. After freeing some space and a soft reset, the above message was displayed when I attempted to start Tom Tom 3 (traffic). It's been working fine for months.
Does anyone know whats wrong, or how I can sort it?
While I'm here, i've been having trouble with the POI software. Worked fine when I first installed it, but I can't get an audiable warning anymore for speed cameras. Ive changed the settings several times, and it still appears to be set correctly, but the sounds have gone!
Any idea's?
With thanks in advance

Uncheck 'Allow Incoming Beams' in System | Connectiosn to reolve the COM1 error.
To assist with your POI issue it would be useful if you told us what POI Alert software you were using! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks Darren,
I couldn't believe it was that simple. With regards to the POI, its CheckPOInt v.3.2. It has worked fine in the past, and in the overlay properties, "give first warning", "speed warning" and "last warning" are all on (but don't actually warn me).
Thanks again

Did you re-intall any alert .wavs that you were using after the crash? CheckPOInt doesn't come with any sounds so you need to supply your own and then tell ChackPOInt were they are saved and which ones to use etc.
I have a .zip file of sounds suitable for CheckPOInt here. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks for the sound files Darren,
After I reinstalled the sound files I ran the "demonstrate route" routine. This worked fine. However, today when driving they did not alert me, nor does the little box appear to tell you how far away the camer is. I am now thinking I may have installed TT Traffic after the POI software. Would this have any affect on it? If so do I need a different version or is there something else I can do?
Cheers

Hi there!
I installed TomTom3 on my IPAQ H6340 and the above error message occured. I Unchecked 'Allow Incoming Beams' in System | Connections to resolve the COM1 error but that didn't work.
Please help me!
