Are there any USA-maps for TomTom 3 for IPAQ? I have the map for version 2, but I can't find USA-maps for v3. Is there a trick tot use the version 2 maps on TT3?
We are planning to go on fly/drive :D holiday in the states, so we would be very happy with a solution. |

I'm also planing a trip to the USA, and wanting to know the cheapest place to buy the map for the USA (namely FL).
I have TT3 Bluetooth, on a HP5550.
I've seen some for sale on ebay (http://stores.ebay.com/Globaltech-Innovations) - but I'm not sure if it will work or not.
Any comments? |

Hi,
Does anyone know if TomTom 2004 USA & Canada maps will work with my TTN 3.
I've seen it on the TT site but the cost seems a little high 189 euros (£130).
And I've also seen it on ebay - http://stores.ebay.com/Globaltech-Innovations/ - $145.00 (£75.00)
As you can see there's a major price diff, so I want to check if they are the same thing...
Can anyone help? |

Personally, I did some soul searching on this matter myself and I came to the conclusion
Invest £50 in Mapopolis USA maps. Not 3D, not the greatest voice, not the most intuitive interface, but it is cheap and fast!
You can even try a UK map before you go as well to see if it works on your setup. _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

I do not know if Globaltech-Innovations are authorized retailers for Tom Tom.
But the price seems close to what Tom Tom sell it themselves ($149 at Tom Tom changing language to american english). |

I've just returned to the UK from 2 weeks in the Orlando area using the following setup :
iPAQ 2210, Leadtek BT9537 receiver,TTN3.03 with GPS v3.07 & the TTN Maps of the USA & Canada 2004.
Apart from occasional confusion in the Navigator caused by missing roads (i.e. maps not right up-to-date), it worked very well, particularly with warnings about which lane to be in for exits. With overtaking on either side on the major roads, this was a real boon. It was also useful occasionally for avoiding the frequently congested signposted routes to the major tourist attractions, by using quieter secondary roads. |

Thanks very much for that info Cartman. I was going to post asking if anyone knew if TTN3 and TTN2004USA maps were compatible, I guess that answers my question.
I thought this would be the case, as I had heard that the HP Nav bundle (which is effectively v4.4) was actually using the technology from TTN2004 - and I know a friend who uses TTN3 with the maps from the HP nav bundle.
So it seems that maps from TTN3, TTN4.4 and TTN2004 are interchangeable. Cool onions.
Does anyone know which TTN2004 CD the maps for IN+OH+KY+WV are on please? And can you buy the CDs seperately or just in one pack all together?
Thanks
