I have got the r1710 package and want to have full postcode search, but i have put in the speed cameras and there is now not enough room on memory card, is there any way of putting /copying the tom tom software to a larger capacity memory card and then adding the post codes ? |

Hi newipaq,
to the forum!
Please don’t be so impatient ;), you only waited 41 minutes before you posted again. It’s not unusual to see people reply within minutes but sometimes you may have to wait a while longer.
I suggest that you buy a card reader/writer and a larger storage card, 512Mb is now quite cheap. Have a look at valueflash. You should be able to copy the data from the original card to the larger card with no problem.
The postcodes are essentially other POIs. You can download them onto your storage card but don’t forget that you have a limitation of a maximum of 40 user/custom POIs that you can use in the HP TomTom Navigation package.

if you copy tomtom to a bigger card, do you need to re-activate it, or is it just a straight copy? |

It's a straight copy. I had no problems when I copied my Lexar 256MB SD card to a Kingston 512MB SD card.
You won't need to reactivate TomTom again.
