Is there any way that I can get "video-out" from a PocketPC, for viewing the screen on a monitor, via projector or TV.
This will be used for presentation of TomTom in exhibitions or for companies in plenum. _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |

Zeena, never seen one for any pocket PC. You can get a program that allows you to control pocket pc from a pc, which needs to be installed on the PC and requires Active Sync - have a look at Handango or Tucows... _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

Sure, you can use any of the remote control packages. For example RemoteDisplay from the Microsoft Power Toys.
Don't expect lightning fast updates though, even over WiFi - it will show quite some lag. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your help. This work...
I think this will do the job.
I agree that it could be nicer without the lag. _________________ Gunnar Nystul, Forum Admin, TomTom Forum Norway and Nystul Navigasjon |

Actually no - those are merely PowerPoint solutions. What you want is to present the Pocket PC Screen...
Nice projector, but pretty pricey - and they don't mention the noise level - one of the deciding factors for home cinema. _________________ Lutz

Can it do GAPI? Remember, most newer TomTom versions use GAPI, and not many remote control tools understand that.
Worst case you end up presenting a completely different screen. _________________ Lutz

I use SOTI and it works well, the latest version certainly works with TT Mobile so that suggests GAPI is no longer an issue. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I'll second SOTI - been using it for 18 months or so and it's brilliant. |
