Hi JohnBoy59,
Thanks for the information but it was announced on the home page on Monday 28 February 2005 at 12:13:54 GMT. One reason to log onto our home page and not going straight to our forums! ;)
I’ve also moved the thread to the PocketGPSWorld camera database forum as the camera database can be used with a number of SatNav packages, not just TomTom Go.

Yes - email them updates in - I just done one and you get a nice warm fuzzy feeling as outlook sends. (1585 to go I guess)

It already is! (Except, of course, fot the cameras for which we have not yet received data regarding the speed limit in which the camera is situated.) The files are in the s peed zoned directory. If you load the files in the speed zoned directory, you don't need the "gatso" and "mobile" files that are in the main directory. _________________ Tim |

The Gatso and Mobile speed zoned files are available via POI-Edit now :D _________________ Various TomToms, Garmin eTrex Legend, GPSMAP 60CSx, Oregon 550t, Forerunner 405 |

Please, please don't ever replace the main directory when the speed zoned one is fully up to date. It is really useful to receive 2 warnings when approaching a camera. I've set up the proximity warninggs at 400 Yards and 200 Yards. Firstly the simple "Gatso!" warning and then the "Gatso 30 etc!" 200 Yards further on make it doubly sure that you dont miss it. |

Bex.
I used POIEdit last night and it had all of the speed zoned files in its listings.
Have you downloaded the latest POIEdit (just out recently) and also updated the databases themselves in POIEdit.
Regards
Darren. |

Yeah, just done it now. Brilliant!! Well done to all those who put in the hard work. I e-mailed 3 updates 5 days ago and they are showing up in the speed zoned POI's already. Now planning on finding every camera possible that has no speed info and sending in the data. |

Have I done something wrong??
I saw that the new database was on line dated 28 Feb 2005..
So I did what I normally did down-loaded and unzipped to its own folder...
Then I cut and pasted into the TTGO as per normal...
When it was crossing over it appeared that it was loading the same files as January - size and dates etc...
thought this was strange so I checked the version number and find it to be 3.014 but in the down load in box it says that it would be 3.024...
What Have I done wrong
PS just to make sure I down loaded again and it was still 3.014
PPS I have put this post in another thread as well Duuuuuh _________________ Happy to meet -- Sorry to part -- Happy to meet again |
