Hi,
I have had my CoPilot, purchased from HP as an HP Nav System for about 6 months, and have been generally quite happy.
BUT, recently, it has started to 'fail'. I am getting absoluteley no GPS Signal through at all - evan after a couple of hours sat in the car, which would normally be locked on within 2-10 minutes.
Running GPS Dash, I used to register a few sats even indoors, but without being able to lock on - when connected, the altitude and clock would register OK, prior to lock being established (eg 2 of 10 sats in use). Now, I get zip. (0 of 0 sats). When I look at the data, when connected, I get the following:
$GPLL,00000.0000,N,00000.0000,E,000012.998,V*28
repeated over and over, with the 12.998,V*28 seemingly random each line, but not significantly different (noise?).
I don't think the problem is in the connector, I have cleaned both ends, and blown vigorously, but to no avail.
When I can finally get hold of somebody at HP to discuss with (their website seems to conveniently fail when you get close to actually logging a support call), I'lll try and get a warranty returm, but in the interim, any suggestions??
