Hi,
I a very begginer and having searched the foruns for some keywords didn't found what i need.
I have a Qtek 9090 Pocket PC.
Is my PDA a XDA3/XDAIII or XDA2/XDAII?
Will the new Globalsat BT-338 work fine with the Qtek 9090?
About bluetooth GPSr, i read about the need to download and install the Pocket Bluetooth Tools http://www.bluetooth.jazztel.es/download_e.html . Is this really necessary?
My PDA system info has:
ROM version: 1.22.00WWE,
ROM date: 10/22/04,
Radio version: 1.06.02, protocol
Protocol version: 1.337.38
ExtROM version: 1.22.167
Device information: Intel(R) PXA263
Model No: PH20B
Thanks for any input. _________________ MAntunes

The Qtek 9090 is an MDAIII aka XDAIIs.
Bluetooth tools was designed for MDAII/XDAII models that had issues with the BT implementation. You should not install this on your 9090.
The BT-338 will work fine with your 9090 _________________ Darren Griffin |

I haven't forgot my promise, but the delivery was delayed until end of March...

Dear Valued Customer,
We received a memo from GlobalSat in Taiwan a few days ago stating that our shipment and all wordwide shipmentsof the new BT-338 will be delayed till 3/28. They have found a small problem on the BT-338 in reference to the difficulties in obtaining GPS fix in cold temperature.
Hence, we will only be shipping the fixedersion around 4/3 to 4/5. All pre-orders will be shipped at this time and we will have more than enough stock to cover all pre-orders up to this point.
If you can wait, there is no action needed from you side. This is just a notification to you.
If you cannot wait, please let us know and we will cancel your order.
If you cannot wait AND will not be using this device in under -5 Celcius, we now have up to 5 units in stock from our first shipment that can be shipped out today. This is a first come first served basis offer only and please response by 3pm EST today (3/14) before this offer is closed.
If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us via email and we will gladly assist you.
Thank you for becoming a Buy GPS Now customer.

After all this time i ended up by not purchasing the BT-338. Globalsat changed the characteristics in the unit's page, removing the reference to WAAS/EGNOS and BuyGPSNow, after more than a month since i ordered the GPSr, made a request to validate my bank account. I already purchased several items in the internet and payed several software licenses by this mean and i didn't like that. So, i canceled my order because of the two issues together and i buyed a Holux GR-230. I choosed an "old" but reliable SirfII L/P machine.
Sorry but i can't share nothing about the GPSr i whish to buy in first choice. _________________ MAntunes
