Please can we have the option to edit our own messages. I am so bad at typing....
Many a time I look back at what I wrote to see finger problems close to looking like a nuclear holocaust... _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |

There's a problem with the forums that mean that allowing users to edit posts isn't really possible at this time. If I remember rightly, it's to do with the way that posts were migrated from the old forum software to phpBB. Whilst it's something we're aware of, it's behind a lot of other things on the "to do" list.
As Oldboy suggests, the answer is to preview your posts until you're happy with them - then click Submit. If I notice mistakes with things like BBCode tags and links as I'm reading the forums, I'll correct the mistakes.

And if you switch to Mozilla's superb Firefox browser there is the excellent sourseforge spellcheck plug-in so you can check the spelling before you submit _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you happen to use Internet explorer then there is a spell checker plug in for that too.
