Hi, newbie here. I'm thinking of buying a mio 168 with tomtom3 and 1 region of memory map (region 6 for the nosey) will a 256mb card be o.k. for this?

I'm not planning on putting m.p.3 files on it as i already have an ipod for my music.

Thanks in advance for peoples help. This site has been very useful over the last week helping me to deside on the right g.p.s. unit and software.

Just waiting for new credit card to arrive so i can punish it Smile

Hi,

The whole of GB for TomTom will take up approx 101MB of storage space which would leave around 155MB for other maps etc...

If you are planning on installing the whole of MM region 6 I expect it would take the whole of your 256MB card on it's own.
I would install a smaller section of the OS map region (MM) or consider punishing the CC a little more and get a bigger card.

Thanks Ian, I'll take your advice and go for a bigger size card, after all it's all going on a credit card so it's not real money anyhow.

Just checked and it's only £20 more to upgrade to a 512mb card Smile
