Having read recently about Blue Logger Pro I am now wondering if this at $349.95 is the cheapest possible sub-meter accuracy available. Does anyone know of any others that would give this type of accuracy in the UK? I am in no way considering professional Kit which would cost thousands.

I might add that my PDA + BT TT3 should be able to give me 3m accuracy which is acceptable for what I want to do, however if I could go sub-meter for less that £100 extra I would.

When you say sub-metre you are talking professional and military equipment.
It is costly and I do not think it is useable (for the accuracy) on all parts of the world.

Take these 3m claims with a grain of salt. To do this you need EGNOS enabled which may or may not improve your accuracy (the system isn't officially live yet) and that's if you can get a lock on the EGNOS satellite.

Thanks - Seems no one can comment on claims for Blue Logger kit or whether it would work in the UK. I tried emailing the supplier but they seemed unable to answer my questions as well. Sad

As far as accuracy is concerned, it is no better than any other WAAS enabled GPS on the market and most current GPS are WAAS enabled.

The GPS it uses is the USB Earthmate, if you notice, which cost about $120. So what can you expect from a $120 GPS?

The accuracy claimed is based on post-data processing.

The BlueLogger is actually a rebadged Leadtek 9537 (interesting - without Xtrac, but with a data logger...)

Of course the Blue ogger works in the UK , or in any other part of the world for that matter. It can receive the EGNOS signal but that's not yet officially enabled, so nobody will guarantee the accuracy.

if you want sub-metre accuracy, buy a measuring tape.
