I think I must be stupid, but they must have made an easier way to search for towns/ places than I can work out.
Picture the scene. I'm at home, indoors (no gps on), looking at the tomtom map and out of interest I want to see where in Scotland Oban is or if Fareham has a railway station. I don't want to navigate there, just see where they are. I'm a bit thick and havn't a clue where these places are so I can't zoom out, move the cursor to the rough area and zoom back in.
At the moment I have to change to a blank navigator mode, tap for the menu, 2nd screen for find, choose address, type in the name of the town, choose a random street and number, add it to the itinery, select it, go to the second screen of the pop up options and choose "show on map"!
Thats a lot of flipping clicks for a simple task - is there an easy way? |
