If you would care to email the file you're trying to upload, I can at least tell you whether or not the file itself is the problem. _________________ Tim |

Like so many before you, you managed somehow to delete the "" from around the final column. Did you, by chance, do a search and replace on all "" and replace them with nothing? Each row should take the format
Long, Lat, "Name"
although even if it looks like
-2.1157, 53.07313, "GATSO:219@30", ""
this will not be a problem, as the Navman POIEditor ignores the fourth column. Having a single space after each comma makes the file more 'readable', by the way. _________________ Tim |

Oh i see the problem,
problem is the only way i can get them to work is load it in to Excel then convert it in to a Csv file, guess thats what gets rid of the """ 's, i cant get the file to load in the SmartSt desktop any other way
got a feeling it may take me a while puting the """ in every line,
is their some easyer way of doing it.
cheers for the help |

You can convert between formats using this programme. Mind you, the $afety camera database is already provided in .csv format, so I'm unsure as to why you need to use Excel to convert to that format! _________________ Tim |

many thanks it works fine now,
thanks for the help with it, was the lack of """ that was the problem, using the converter added them to the .CSV files i down loads. |
