Covertec recently extended their range of luxury protective cases to include a selection for the TomTom GO. Priced at £31.27 plus £8.36 postage and packing (to the UK).

For all of you still waiting for the free TomTom GO case here is an alternative.

We have previously reviewed some of the Covertec PDA cases and found them to be top quality. I am still using them and they are still as good as new after a years worth of heavy use. So what is the new GO case like?

Looks nice, but I just think there should be a flap between the cards and the display, for obvious reasons.

I assume your obvious reason is that the card could scratch the screen.

This does not appear to be a problem as when the card is inserted into the storage space it is 75% covered by the leather, coupled with the fact that it is recessed and that there will always be the thickness of the leather between the card and the screen. Bearing in mind also that the screen cover is very stiff.

I would expect that the only way to scratch the screen would be from a very serious knock, which would more likely break some other more critical part of the GO rather than scratch the screen.

Well... in football mode the card could jump out, then rattle around and scratch the screen. I like the case, but wouldn’t keep the card in the lid.

I dont like it, i think the shiny leather makes it look a bit "pimpish" Each to their own I spose.
