Hi guys,
I have a problem with tomtom voice instructions, no matter what I do I dont get voice instructions. This is doing my head in now for a whole week.
I've installed the tomtom 3 software on the main memory of my hp 4150 and the GB map onto SD card. Everything good but no voice instructions, the test function in the tomtom properties works fine. I checked whether my ipaq might be muted but it isnt, no problem with peeping on events, tapping on screen, playing music, video etc.....
The settings on my ipaq in "sounds & volume" read system volume loud, enabled sound for events and programs......
I've updated to tomtom 3.07, gps v3.07 417/421 but the problem is still there. I've also tried installing the tomtom software in sd card but to no vail, i've just had enough.....
my ipaq
ROM ver is 1.00.14 ENG
OS ver is Windows CE 4.20
I will appreciate if someone can help me out please....am newbie to all this (hence 1st post and registered now) sorry if I've missed any details out....Thanks |

Silly question perhaps, but I suppose you have checked that the sound is not turned off on the Navigator menu. On mine it's on the first of 3 menu pages, and it should show a red cross over "Turn sound off"

When you test the sound in the first properties page does it say anything? _________________ Lutz

When I press the test button in properties it says "turn right" if I press it again it says "turn left" |

Then you should be good to go. Have you done an actual navigation yet? _________________ Lutz

I did 130 miles journey each way yesterday and I didnt get any voice, I've also done many test runs but to no luck.
It took me there and back without any probs, but it was bit hard coz I had to keep looking at the map on my pda due to no voice..... |
