finally the moment i had waited quite a long time. i just got home from my first night flight with emtac. it worked great, had fix all the time (attached to door handle, a very temporary solution). i used ozi explorer with a self-made-red-colored-and-dimmed ICAO Helsinki West map.
so, here is a solution i can recommend for every pilot out there.
nothing´s perfect, it was very windy (17ktn surface, 40ktn 2000ft) and i bounced once on landing . but this was a really rewarding experience.

pevelius,
Glad to hear that you have got your system going and can enjoy it.
Have you looked at the 1:1,000,000 maps from
Aeroplanner.com,?? I have used them for Florida and Northern Europe. Up to date and only 7.50$., downloadable and include your area.
I hope the 17knt was not crosswind!!!!!! _________________ PeterB, Kent, U.K. |

thanks for the link. i may need it when i go abroad. for now, my scanned map seems to work better than those.
nope, wind was aligned perfectly with the runway otherwise c-152 would have been in real trouble...
i wouldn´t have dared to go by myself to that wind, i had a professional pilot/teacher with me (this was a night school flight). but still seatbelts were really needed
