I think...........
1. Its been worth not buying ttm yet after hearing this news
2. I like the fact its now got the ability to plan a 'walk' route |

Full UK 7 digit PostCodes is the best addition for me. Hopefully they'll have some decent anti-piracy protection to defeat the leachers as well and it would be nice if it was available as software only. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Dont forget downloadable maps. Interesting but I wonder how much it will cost and how well they will have implemented the download.
If you could download say the city you are in via GPRS then that would save on planning what you might need to put on the phone. On the other hand if you have to download a 16Mb segment it wont be very cost effective. _________________ Mike Barrett |

There were no details of availability. We havent even had it on beta test here yet.
No mention was made of upgrade pricing, but last year TomTom Navigator 3 was offered at €49 for new application and updated maps.
I would be extreemly suprised if TomTom prevented it from working with the existing TomTom BT GPS. _________________ Mike Barrett |

I doubt they'll make it software online as their promoting their own branded GPS device a lot. |

Hi all
I sent TomTom a mail yesterday regarding support for the C500 and had a responce stating TTM5 would be out in April. My current TT Bluetooth GPS device has recently ceased to be so I don't really want to fork out for a replacement just yet.
I hope they will release it in early April as I get lost going to the local Tesco |

It is but I bought it in September and TomTom repairs demand a reciept. Can I find it anywhere?? I've even said I can submit my credit card statement showing the purchase (admittedly not showing "Tom Tom GPS" but the company I purchased it from) but they didn't want to know. I've been in touch with the company and they will try and find the invoice they sent me so here's hoping.... |
