euro maps in another icn 510

hi all,
i am going to purchase the european map set. my question is this, would i be able to lend my sd card with these maps on to my brother for him to use with his 510, when he goes abroad? or is this infringing copyright?

Hi,

Unfortunately for your brother this will not work. I was also curious about this and stuck my SD card with Euro maps in another ICN510 and it would not load the maps. I think it stores the activation information on the card linked to the actual unit you activated the maps for. So it is of to the Navman store for your brother I'm afraid. I guess this makes sense otherwise there would be a big black market out there for preinstalled maps on SD cards...
