I have successfully installed TomTom Navigator 3 (with the original TomTom GPS) on a friend's XDA2 PocketPC/mobile phone. The only thing that isn't working is the ability to use his Bluetooth headset to hear the voice prompts - these are audible from the XDA2's built in speaker, but he'd like to hear them through the headset. Audio to the headset from the phone is working normally.
Has anyone successfully got the TomTom voice transmitted to a Bluetooth headset and if so, how?
Many thanks,

I got it working on an iPAQ 6315. The XDA II doesn't have all teh required Bluetooth profiles to make this work. You can try the standard BT hacks (look at xda-developers.com) but it may just not work with the XDA series _________________ Lutz

Ian sorry to butt in but rather than start a new thread can I ask ...
Lutz - could you explain how to get TTN3 working through a BT headset (asuming it would work on a 2210 or would that not work ?)

This has nothing at all to do with TomTom. The question is - does the BlueTooth stack on the Pocket PC support thr transfer of the standard audio to a BT headset. As far as I know this is called "Audio Gateway protocol"
I don't think the 2210 BT stack supports it, and not sure about the XDAII either. I know for a fact that the 6315 BT stack does support it, and there is even a special setup screen for it (see my review) .
So if you have lots of time and some Bluetooth knowledge you could probably "copy" the BT stack (or at least the missing protocols) from the 6315 to the other devices (assuming those use the Widcomm/Broadcom stack) and then cross your fingers that the actual hardware also supports this.
Mind you, the 6315 is Pocket PC Phone Edition (like the XDA II) whereas the 2210 is simply Pocket PC. - Not sure if this has any impact. _________________ Lutz
