TTN 4 is already out in all various incarnations - it's just called differently - TomTom Navigator 2004, HP Navigator Pack, TomTom GO, TomTom Smartphone etc.
We are actually speculating to see version 5 at CeBit _________________ Lutz

If you are in the US, your waiting for TT 2004 USA, which is imminent. Some here have griped about this version, the complaints seeming to be that it is not TT3, but since I've never seen that version, I am more interested in what it is than what it's not. |

TTN 2004 US is out since July. We recently did a review on it. _________________ Lutz

And available (in the US) where? Not through TT or any vendor I can find. |

Negative. It's a pre-order, so it's not yet available. And, there's no date by which it will be. |

Now that's interesting. It was on sale from July (as I said) but maybe they are already clearing their inventory to make room for the new version 5 ?
You can search mobileplanet.com for "tomtom" - there are plenty of bundles available. _________________ Lutz

I only jumped in this thread because I was interested in getting TT2004 USA and couldn't get any info on when it was due, only that it was, soon. Well, that was a month ago, and it's still not available as a standalone package in the States. It would be ironic if it were in Europe, but not surprising, as lots of technology seems to show up on that side of the Atlantic first. Anyway, as popular as the latest version seems to be abroad, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with it when it finally hits the market here. |

That's curious. They ship it in a bundle form "same day" but the software on its own isn't available. I wonder if it is just a mistake with the website or if they are being serious... seems incredibly stupid either way. |

Well, just to add to the confusion, I visited TigerGPS.com just to see what they offer, and sure enough, they have TT 2004 USA in stock and shipping: http://www.tigergps.com/tonagpssoonb.html
So, go figure. Tom Tom has it as a pre-order, and these guys are shipping. Not only that, but TigerGPS has it about $25 cheaper. Whatever.... |

BuyGPSNow also shows it available: http://www.buygpsnow.com/item.aspx?itemid=394; kinda makes you wonder if TomTom's store actually does have it and just haven't changed the 'pre-order' status yet. |
