|
|
Hi All,
I was wondering if anybody had similar problems. I got TTN3 (wired GPS) and ipaq 3950. The problem I am getting is, when I set out for a journey say from location A to B (start from the Home location) using my TTN3, the journey and instructions are spot on. But when I start on the return route (B to A), the GPS receiver keeps loosing the signal and then TTN3 gives all rubbish instructions (turn left, turn right) right inthe middle of motorway.
The other thing is if I unplug and replug the power, it catches the GPS signal and again looses it in a minute or 2.
I wrote about this problem to TOMTOM support and they said get the GPS receiver replaced. Which I will do soon. But was wondering if its the receiver faulty or something else. As its very strange, why only on return journeys.
Any ideas. |

Maybe your receiver is overheating? _________________ Lutz

Also make sure you do a soft reset before starting out on the return journey. My 3850 was a bit unreliable if I did not shut TT3 down properly, while still powered up and receiving signal. |

Thanks Guys for the reply.
I did think initially that its because of not closing the application properly. So I did a normal "exit application" before stopping. I also tried the soft reset option before starting the return journey.
Its strange if the GPS receiver heats up only on return journey. will check though.
I have reinstalled the TOMTOM software and hope it fixes the problem. Waiting for a proper long journey.
Please update the message if you think of anything else inthe meantime.
Or will try getting the receiver replaced if nothing works.
Thanks again. |
