|

Hi,
I have Mio 168 TTN3, Checkpoint 2.0.
After I installed Checkpoint I set it to start TTN3 automatically, and set a button to start Checkpoint. This works just fine.
However I find that there is now no shortcut anywhere directly to Tom Tom Navigator.
It is not in Start menu, or in Programs.
I do have 2 Checkpoint icons on the task bar, this seems to have happened because I tried to install 3.2 first, It did not work so I removed it, and installed 2.0. However it remains as a "ghost" with a second icon on the start bar and a shortcut labelled Checkpoint 3.2 in Programs.
Any ideas please?

go to \Program Files\TomTom, tap and hold TomTom Navigator.exe, tap Copy
then go to \Windows\Start menu\Programs and tap edit > paste Shortcut _________________ Lutz

Hi
There were two files with TT icons in the direcetory, no way to tell which is the .exe file, so I did it using Explorere on the PC via ActiveSync. This has worked, thanks.
As a matter of interest how can one see more than a few letters of any file name? I can only see Tom Tom Navi... with no extension. There seems no way to change the view.

It's a 'feature' of the PPC Explorer, the solution is to buy a full featured Explorer app such as Resco Explorer or using your PC's Explorer via ActiveSync.
As for the shortcut issue, it's a known bug but if you have CheckPOInt installed and configured to launch TomTom why worry? _________________ Darren Griffin |
