Ok, it's a long shot but run through the 'Get Connected' wizard. _________________ Darren Griffin |

it goes through -
Looking for mobile device
Checking com port 1 - (then changes to 3)
Checking IR and USB
Then displays at the top of the window

Com Port 1 available
Com port 2 Not installed
Com port 3 available
InfaRed (IR) available

If you unplug the phone, is it still listed in device manager? What other USB devices do you have connected? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Hello RS2000
Have you tried the Microsoft ActiveSync Troubleshooter, it takes you to there web site, then you can click the: I'm having trouble with a USB connection.
Lots of advice, things like - corrupted ActiveSync USB drivers etc
ActiveSync - Help - Microsoft ActiveSync Help - ActiveSync Troubleshooter etc
Regards

After having a mess about on the PC, this arvo. Trying different things. One thing on my PC was really annoying me. McAfee virus thing, as every time i switched PC on i had to close an update request. Of which was only a time trial with my PC. After trying to disable it for ages, today i decided to un-install it. When i tried active sync again after switching windows firewall off. It started to work. So now i can install all my bits that i want onto the phone.
Even me GPS when i eventually get the software.
Againg thanks EVERYONE...
