Isn't that the same connector as the iPAQ 3970? _________________ Lutz

If my memory is correct it is not the same due to the audio jack on the 5550 is at the bottom where the seidio car kit plugs into. The audio port on the 39xx is on the top left. _________________ Regards

I have an IPAQ 5550 and the SEIDIO mount is the best choice by far.
For a total of approximately £52 you will get a vent/dash and windscreen mounting options.
The sound is clear without distortion...unless at max volume.
The IPAQ 5450 and 5550 sits straight into the cradle and it has two connectors built into the cradle. One for the charging and another into which the jack at the bottom right hand corner of the handheld fits into............so NO extra wires for the sound.
Seidio sell the newer version now and have ironed out previous problems with the sound being useless and the cradle running hot.
I've had mine for 3 months ...and it is fab!!
Hope this helps |
