Have a look at the latest Microsoft route planning technology. Go here and enter the following:
Start: Norway, city Haugesund
End: Norway, city Trondheim
Then press "Get Directions" and lean back for a nice chuckle... NAVTEQ maps, by the way. _________________ Lutz

Could the Norwegians use this as an excuse for being late for work? :D _________________ Tim |

Excellent, well done microsoft; yet another un-expected feature!
That's the last time I moan about TomTom or CoPilots directions. _________________ Please follow me on twitter @mdyson1968 |

Interesting.
I have autoroute 2005 for PC same result. Also have Autoroute 2002 on another PC which does not produce the same result.
If you change the start and destination around it seems to get it right.

Yes, and if you select Route Type - Shortest, you still go via the UK.
Must get this, i can then tell my boss why i'm so late for work.
He said to me 'you should have been here one hour ago'
and I said 'why, what happened', but he was not amused.

And what's wrong with that route?
With my sense of direction, I see it as a shortcut.

That is impressive - Reminds me of my dear old Navman, Especially if you reverse the route. Must all be one-ways in Norway. |

Let's face it what journey is worth doing without a night out in Newcastle on the way? |

On Autoroute 2005, which does the same route, put an avoid area around Newcastle then it finds the correct route. |

This is not very funny! We have always blamed the poor Vikings for invading us - now we know - they were using Autoroute 875! |
