Hi
just a wee note to say i'm now a member of this excellent forum.
I have iPAQ2200 and just loaded TT Nav3 bluetooth onto it today so we'll see how it goes.
I have read round and noted all the posts about this combination locking up - maybe its old news so no-one has much more to say but its difficult to work out if the various versions of s/w have sorted themselves out ? Is it still a problem ?
Anyway, i've lots to learn and this site is great but its MASSIVE and i've had difficulty finding some simple info...
How do i know what version of GPS and TT3 i've got ?
What do the 3 colours of light on the front of my TT Bluetooth GPS all mean (i've seen Red, Blue and Green all of which have either been flashing or steady) I guess Green flashes till it gets sattelites then goes solid ??? Blue flashes till it gets a BT connection with my 2210 then goes solid ? but what is the Red one and have i got any of that wrong?
I'll look round some more for the answers...
Ohh.. and the maps have named my Home street as Lady Road, but its actually Ladyburn Court ... can I edit this on the saved maps ?? the connecting street is also incorrectly named and i'd like to change that too. Can anyone help point me in the right direction please.
Happy New Year to you all.

You can't edit the maps - if it's just an incorrectly named road, it can be lived with. You can report this as an error via the TomTom support site.
Try your system - if you don't get any crashing, then you haven't got a problem with storage cards. If you have, come back here for some advice.
To find the version of Navigator that's installed, tap File -> About in any screen except the Navigator screen. For GPS, look at the bottom left of the first tab.
I'm afraid I can't help you with the GPS LEDs, as I have a different GPS.

Blue LED, flashes when no BT Connection, ON when BT Connected.
Green LED, flashes when on and no sat lock, ON when sat lock aquired.
Red LED illuminates when battery power is low. _________________ Darren Griffin |

I have an Ipaq 1940 TT3 Bluetooth and my lights have always worked as follows:-
Green - only appears steady - when locked on (I have never had this flashing
Blue - flashes continually - including when all is working ok
Red - when battery is low

Thanks Guys...
David I've had a look and can now see i've got TT3 version 3.03 (427).... wots the 427 for ? I've got GPS version 3.03 415/408 as well.. Also I'll go to the TomTom site and tell them about the road names that need changed.
I'll try and make a note in my signature box to remind me like wot you guys have done
Thanks to Darren and hmalan for the advice about the GPS led's... what Darren tells me pretty much stacks up with what i've seen ... many thanks. hmalan, yours seems quite different from what i've seen so far anyway.
Its a pretty cool gadget and i've been playing around today... worked excelently well on a trip to my sisters.... its kinda scary tho that it's so bleedin clever... and bang on the mark even where street 'bear left' or 'bear right' ... i'm well impressed. |
