I was looking into buyin a Seidio 2500 mount for my Ipaq 4155, but was wondering if one can buy the silver version? All I've seen for sale is the dark grey/black version. |

Also, has anyone tried putting one of these in their car in a place different than the vent, windshield, or cupholder?
Does anyone have any pics of the 4155 version? |

Where did you have in mind? _________________ Kam |

Kam,
I too have a Seidio mount for a 5450/5550, and I find the sound to be poor - the volume is either very quiet or very loud with little adjustability in between, and the speaker buzzes and distorts at anything over medium volume. Do you find this with yours? If not, I'll get a replacement.
Cheers, Peter |

Peter,
I am quite happy with the sound from my mount. Because the 5550 is so quiet I have the volume on that set to maximum, and the volume on the mount set at or just a little lower than maximum. I find that the volume control on my mount works fairly progressively. Sitting in the car with the engine off and the mount on there is a faint hiss and occasional click, but I don't notice any unwanted noise coming from it in normal use either with SmartSt or CoPilot. _________________ Kam |

I hope this is not considered a cross-post-- (posted these same photos at another post) i apologize for the out-of-focus pics though.
ipaq2215 mounted on SedioG2500, attached to the swivelmount which is attached to a Proclip dashmount- and still able to use the vents in a normal manner. (mounted on VW Passat dash)
I think my volume's fine, i can hear the navigation directions well, and also able to watch videos on my lunch breaks . Although the sound could be clearer. |

The pictures aren't off-topic so long as they're not too large - in fact they're welcome.
However, as burdell1 says, the links are broken - at least, I can't view them. You need to make sure that they're somewhere accessible without logging in (you can always upload them to your own webspace; Pocket GPS World don't make upload space available to users).

Sorry about that!. The photohost site I had my pictures installed is no longer- so I'm about to re-upload those pictures to another photo hosting website.
I'll try to get it reposted here again!
