|
|
Hi there,
I have an XDA II, TTN3 and the Rikaline 6010. In the past this set up has worked wondefully without any problems.
However i have recently had to completely reinstall everything after having not used any of it for a few months. Here are the frustrating problems i have, and really really hope someone can help me make use of the expensive equipment i have bought!
When going into TomTom GPS settings, i select my Rikaline in the top box, and choose serial COM1 in the second box.
This brings up an error: Cannot open COM1: Port does not exist.
So i then tried WinFast Navigator, to check if maybe the port was wrong. None of the ports seem to work. Furthermore, whenever i click Port Settings, i get multiple errors saying "Cannot find value". IF i try to select COM1, it brings up another error such as "Cannot open COM1".
Now at first i thought maybe the the GPS receiver was a problem. But it actually does blink as if it was receiving signals.
I hope someone can share a few ideas.
The only problem seems to be the port problem. Is there any way to find out exactly what port i should be using? (i use wired gps which connects to my PDA in the activeSync port).
Thanks to anyone who can help |

You need to turn off IR beams on the XDA - though I can't remember exactly how that's done.

I don't have an XDA to try it, but try Start Menu, Settings, Connections tab, Beam - and see what you can switch off there.
