You can put it onto the same card. The only issue you will have is when you switch between v3 and v2.24 then you have to re-do alll preferences settings _________________ Lutz

Also you can download and install Mapopolis for free and use the maps for a free trial period (2 weeks I think). The maps for Florida are very good, much more detail about POI's than TomTom2.
I had both installed last October when we were in Orlando.
Only pain with Mapopolis was working out which Counties to download (you can't grab the whole of Florida for a trial, though you can grab states individually). I also downloaded the Berkshire map for the UK just to get the hang of using it (its very different to TomTom!).
Have fun!
p.s. Isn't TomTom3 USA out now though ? |

No, and there are no plans for that. _________________ Lutz

There won't be a TomTom Navigator 3 USA - there is TomTom Navigator 2004 USA/Canada, which Lutz has just reviewed here.
Navigator 2004 is TomTom's "common platform" software - it's more alike Go than older versions of Navigator on the Pocket PC.

As someone who has just used Mapoplis myself in Florida (and yes it is very different from TomTom) you will need some form of routing software as some signs have been blown down in the Hurricans. We got lost several times when we thought we know our way aroud! In addition to the this, one thing that you will not have on any mapping software yet is the 192 (route east west through Kissimmee links the Turnpike and I-4 and beyond) is due for a massive change with the junction of the I-4. It will take 2 years to build a new flyover... _________________ iPhone5, TomTom, Google maps, Navfree, Viewranger and Apple Maps (ekk) |
