|
|
Since downloading the latest update of the Pocket GPS World "safety" camera database and installing it on my Orange SPVE200, the phone has been acting just like a Windows computer ----- crashing all the time while running TTM!!! (This did not happen on the earlier (smaller???) release.)
Orange (over the phone!!) told me there was nothing wrong with the phone (!!) -- TomTom asked if I had also installed any "3rd party" products onto the MMS card.
Well, the bottom line is that when I delete the Pocket GPS World "safety" camera database from the Phone, "TTM" runs fine -- (I ran it from Manchester to South Wales and back today without a hitch.)
Any thoughts, folks ????? |

Out of disk space?
(I wasn't aware that the database has been released for smartphones anyway) _________________ Lutz

It could be something to do with running short of memory. Certainly others don't seem to have reported problems with TomTom Mobile and the latest release - you could try downloading again.
Lutz - the database is only a series of POI files, and TomTom Mobile can use .ov2 files.

Turn off the ability to display ALL POI's, or specifically the Safety Camera POI's and it will work fine, it's running fine on mine. This is down to a resource problem on the phone. |
