Hi,
Does anyone use Route 66 'Navigate 2004' ? I'm trying to see how I can do my own POIs. All I see is Tom Tom software. Help please. Thanks Stace |

Firstly, please can I ask that you (or any other forum members) don't contact me by email as I do not offer email support - only support on the forum.
Secondly, please don't feel that if your post hasn't been answered, people are ignoring you. It is probably just the case that no one who knows the answer has seen it yet.
The reason why there are more posts for TomTom, Navman, Co Pilot, etc. is because they are more popular than Route 66. Do you have a manual on the product which mentions POI's at all?
Hopefully someone who knows a bit more about this product can jump in here and help.

The User Manual is available at the bottom of this page. I can't see anything where it mentions the use of Custom POIs.

My apologies Bo Peep,
Just getting a bit concerned that I'd had no replies, and looking at your postings, you seemed like you'd know more about this than any one else. Sorry again.
The manual for both my Mio168, and 'Navigate 2004' seem very vague indeed. The Mio manual mentions nearly nothing about the SatNav capabilites, and the Navigate manual is only what you'd expect to learn by pushing buttons yourself for a few minutes - not of much use.
On the plus side, Route66 Navigate seems to come up with the goods for the most part. However I find the fact that it misses all local schools, and loads of visible POIs (like pubs, churches, and main shopping centers ) abit strange.
I had a brief message from Route66 saying 'You can't do your own POIs' and thats all. I know you lot will know if ther's a way to sort it if its possible. Visiting here is how I came to get my 168 in the first place.
