Hi every1 im sure i am doing somthing silly but i cant get Checkpoint working?!?!?! I have In IPAQ 1710 (don't laff) with Tom Tom 3 installed.
I have downloaded Checkpoint 3.2
I have used the synchronization feature and downloaded the traffic cameras.
I have then gone into the overlay settings and then properties of the traffic cameras and ticked "Detect POI's from this overlay" also adding a voice alert.
Now what do i do?
I load tom tom 3 (with Checkpoint running) and go to the poi enable disable settings, in there is no POI for Checkpoint or any speed cameras. Shouls there be?
HELP!?!?! |

Hi canyacme,
to the forum!
Can you please confirm that you are actually running TomTom Navigator 3? I ask this because there is an HP iPAQ rz1710 and TomTom Navigation bundle, which uses the newer TomTom “common engine”. The software isn’t TTNav 3 – if you look on the about screen. That software is 4.xx.
If you are running the “common engine” TomTom Navigator then no third party add-on software will work with it. However you can use the built-in “proximity alert”.

Yep looks like i have that version. I have been going made for 2 weeks installing it & uninstalling it, trying many different things 2 get it working.
Here's what the about screen says
App version 4.400
Map : Great-Britain-Map v390
Do you mean there is nothing that supports this version yet, or there will never be any that do?
Thanks very much for your help |

You use the built in proximity warning feature with that version. CheckPOInt and other add-on software doesn't work with your version of TomTom Navigator.
See my announcement in the TomTom Navigator forum for more details.
