Hi all, merry christmas,
I have a problem using bluetooth tomtom gps on laptop via fugawi mapping softare.
Has anyone done this? is it possible?
I have tried to get the bluetooth tomtom gps to work on the laptop with fugawi, every time i try to configure fugawi to use the gps it comes back with a error message "port \.\\com13 is busy" i have checked settings in device manager and set the appropiate settings in fugawi.
Any ideas, please help

Before you try Fugawi use a test tool like VisualGPS to verify the function of the receiver and the connection.
Also, COM13 is a tad high. Try to cleanup your PC a bit and remove unneded BT services so you can get the outgoing COM port below COM10. If necesary, completely remove and re-install the BT stack. _________________ Lutz

Thank you for your reply,
I am now using com6 and have installed visual gps, but still get the same error message or a variation of it, "access denied com port in use" the only service using com 6 is tomtom gps bluetooth the device i want to connect to. if i select within bluetooth settings "tell me about bluetooth wanting to connect" it asks me for a pass key, via a wizard if i cancel, as tomtom does not use a passkey "i think?", it freezes up and after a minute or so gives the same message above. |

Please be aware that it's not the TomTom GPS using the service of COM6, but rather the other way round - your local (outgoing) port COM 6 is using the serial port profile service of the BT GPS.
Are you successful in browsing for BT devices and discovering the services that the TomTom has to offer? _________________ Lutz
