CoPilot and AutoRoute 2005

I am a newbie at this so please excuse me if this is a silly question.

I now have my new Mio168 with CoPilot. I also have Autoroute 2005 with Pocket Streets. If I choose to install them both on the PDA do I need GPSGate? Or do I only need GPSGate if two pieces of software are running simutaneously?

The latter, but ensure that you do only have one running at a time. Usually, tapping the 'X' in the top-right corner only minimises the application, as opposed to closing it.
