No cheque yet, but I got the 'Krussel' leather flip case today and it is the business, well worth the £20, I can thoroughly recommend them. |

For anybody interested these are still available at the new Oban store at £199.99 for the Myguide 5500.
So they have reduced the price to account for the missing SD card :D
Only of use if you already live in Scotland! |

I grabbed that snippit of info from another forum at 6:05 this morning having just finished a long night shift so just posted it "as was" so maybe it is a 6500 but i'm not sure.
I was hoping it was a 6500 and that it may help someone out who was looking for one. |

If so, which one(s) recognise the built in GPS receiver part?

Can you also remove the Falk software? (How?) |

I am running w98se and installed activesync 3.7 which doesnt seem to sit well with an otherwise very stable system.
I am getting random reboots when I connect the pda, anyone have any advice?
Next I have tried to remove Falk Navigator from the flash memory via active sync and although I can delete the files, I cant delete the folders.
I get sharing violations. If I try to move the folders all I end up with is copies of them in my temp folder while the originals still exist.
There is also another file in the flash memory called ignore_my_docs
whats that all about?
Getting out of my depth here already! |

Hi
you are best deleting the files in the flashdrive direct from the PDA using file explorer in the programs folder
do a soft reset and then use file explorer to delete all the files without connecting the PDA to your PC or runnig anything that will cure the sharing violations, also delete the Ignore file, it does nothing
Hope that helps

Yes you can use TomTom and anyother standard SatNav Program, the Inbuilt GPS antenna uses COM2, so just set whatever prog you use to access it as an NMEA 4800 unit on COM SP2

Just tried that Richard, soft reset then start/file explorer/my flash disk/Falk Navigator-delete-are you sure-yes-access denied-make sure file is not in use.
I just have empty folders there now as I managed to delete the files earlier.
Ideas please? |

Open Activesync and go to tools>add/remove programs then remove it from there by checking and highlighting the program then clicking on the 'remove' button. The PocketPC system uses your main PC to control what gets put onto, and removed from, the PDA unit.
To remove Falk itself from the memory card and flash disk, you need to soft-reset the Pocket PC then quickly browse to and delete the app before activesync can access the card/disk and cause a sharing violation. |
